CIOFF® is International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (LE CONSEIL INTERNATIONAL DES ORGANISATIONS DE FESTIVALS DE FOLKLORE ET DÀRTS TRADITIONNELS)

The geographical structure of CIOFF® The members of CIOFF® are divided into six sectors: Northern American Sector, Latin-American Sector, Asian-Oceanian Sector, Central European Sector, South European and African Sector and Northern European Sector. Each sector consist of National Sections. In the Northern European Sector there are Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Ireland and Great Britain.   Leading and organizing CIOFF® The highest authority of CIOFF® is General Assembly, which gathers once a year.  The leading body of CIOFF® is the Executive Committee (President, 2 Vice Presidents, Secretary General, Treasurer). Activity of CIOFF® is managed by Commissions (Cultural, Festivals, Finance and Legal) and Working Groups (children, Folkloriada etc). CIOFF® has permanent representative at UNESCO. Choosing Ingrid Rüütel as a member of Cultural Commission is a big compliment for Estonia.
